+++COL DE LA MADELEINE+++

After the descent of the Col de #Croixdelafer I entered the valley of the arc river at the small town "St. Jean de Maurienne". Heading north down the valley I was looking for a gas station. It was high noon and every station seems to be closed until I found one besides the street, where I was facing the fact that none of my cerdit and bank cards was accepted! Luckily a french couple with their #audi, who had lived in germany in the 70's made it possible to get fuel on their card account. After a friendly conversation I gave them the money and was off to the #coldelamadelaine! Only a few kilometers later in a small town called la Chambre there was the road sign to "St. Francois Longchamps", a winter sport station where I alraedy had been during my vacancies in Valmorel!
